People can get to Halong bay by:

 1. Helicopter,  flight time 1 hour, cost US$210 return. Available only on Saturday

 2. Private A. C car  , drive time 3 hours and half one way, cost US$110 one way/trip

 3. Limousine car, drive time 3 hours and half one way, cost US$240 one way/trip

 4. By public bus, 4-6 hours pending on how many stops en route the drive would make  to pick up/drop off passengers. Fare around US$5

 5. Hanoi - Haiphong , drive time 2 hours costs US$80 /one way. From Haiphong people can     take the hydrofoil to Catba island , 1 hour boat ride and cost US$10 per person. Schedule    9am and 12 am from Haiphong; From Catba 4pm.
